Canada Day on Granville Island

Not only is Granville Island a beautiful place to be, there’s always something fun going on! Canada Day is no exception to this. Whether you’re looking for a specialty donut from Lee’s or you’re dying for 5 minutes of “me time” aka Caesar time at The Liberty Distillery, there’s going to be something for you this Canada Day.

There are tons of fun and FREE events for your little one’s this year which will surely keep them busy while you’re drinking that Caesar we just mentioned. Did you say outdoor xylophones?? Yes? Well THERE WILL BE SOME! The outdoor musical playground has no age limit. Just saying…

Put a new spin on your little one’s bike or stop by The Kids Market for a number of fun activities.

Enjoy a peaceful Mural tour around the island and check out all of the amazing art before you stop to watch the Tsatsu Stalqaya/Coastal Wolf Pack preform Traditional Coast Salish singing and dancing.

Artist type? We got you! Opus is doing a great print making class at their Granville Island location. There will also be a Paint by Numbers session for anyone to join! And don't forget about the main event!

And lastly but certainly not least…you have to visit MAKE! (We're across the street from the Net Loft - to the West.) Come celebrate Canada Day and help us decorate our BIG map of Canada! Then design and make yourself a cool button to take home!
