Continue ShoppingSince 2021, MAKE Vancouver has partnered with the Urban Native Youth Association (UNYA) to raise funds through the sale of orange t-shirts for Orange Shirt Day. This initiative, featuring original designs by Indigenous artist KC Hall, has already generated $88,188 over three years.

This year, MAKE and UNYA are striving to exceed $100,000 in total donations by the end of this year's campaign to support culturally relevant programs for Indigenous youth.Stacy Hall, the CEO of MAKE Vancouver, had this to say about the orange shirt campaign:"UNYA lifts our hands to MAKE in honor and appreciation of all the wonderful work they are doing to achieve the goal of $100K raised for this year’s Orange Shirt fundraiser. MAKE has been partnering with UNYA since 2021, and every dollar raised ensures we can continue to provide culturally relevant programming to Indigenous youth."
“We had no idea when we first partnered with UNYA to help them sell orange shirts, that in only four years we might be able to donate over $100,000 to this amazing local non-profit. We are so proud and so humbled by the public’s response and can’t wait to present this year’s cheque on behalf of them and our small business.”
If you’re wondering, “Where can I buy orange shirts in Vancouver”, the $20 UNYA orange shirts are available now at MAKE on Granville Island and MAKE Gastown until September 30, 2024, or while quantities last. MAKE carries adult and youth sizes too.
