MAKE's copyright statement
ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY

Your creation must be your artwork. MAKE will not print copyright protected images or artwork without the permission of the creator. We require customers to affirm the right to use any of the images supplied to us for reproduction. (See below for exceptions.)

MAKE does not allow designs to be produced, by any of our departments, that promote hatred toward people based on their age, race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disabilities or disease, or religion. This extends to the use of symbols dedicated to hatred against these groups.Β

Additionally, MAKE will not allow designs to be produced that include content that bullies, attacks or threatens specific individuals, or that includes pornography or any other sexual content. Graphics that are considered to contain offensive, perverse, or sensitive content, are also not allowed to be produced.

COPYRIGHT EXCEPTIONS
Phrases or jokes are NOT copyright protected, unless they are trademarked. We can help you make a cool new version of a shirt idea you have, as long as we are not copying the design.

PUBLIC DOMAIN

Photos enter public domain 50 to 95 years after the creator’s death depending on the type of artwork. In most cases we will require some form of documentation to this effect to prove that the image is in the public domain.

PARODIES

This can be tricky, but any artwork that references a famous logo or image for the purpose of parody may be used if the change to the artwork is significant enough to separate it from the original. Feel free to check your design idea with us in advance so we can advise you on how best to accomplish it.

FREE OR PURCHASED STOCK & ROYALTY FREE CONTENT

Licenses for individual uses or reproductions of artworks or photos may be purchased from stock image sites or downloaded from others for free as long as usage rights have been clearly stated.Β
